The Unburdened Life
Coaching for women living with chronic illness or chronic stress who are still carrying everyone else.
Maybe it's a diagnosis. Maybe it's years of running on adrenaline and caffeine until "exhausted" started to feel like your personality. Either way, your body has been keeping score.
You eat lunch standing over the sink. You finally sit down to rest and remember the email you forgot to send. You've ignored the headache, the flare, the jaw you can't stop clenching, because there wasn't time to deal with it. By the time you hear your own voice in the morning, you've already answered everyone else's.
You're not lazy. You're out of spoons, and you've been lending yours out for years.
The Unburdened Collective offers coaching built on The Unburdened Life framework. It's for women managing chronic illness, chronic stress, or both, whether you've had a diagnosis for decades, are still waiting for one, or have never needed one to know something's wrong. It's for the ones who can feel themselves slowly sliding and want to stop the slide before the next crash.
I've lived with lupus since I was 14, and I spent more than a decade in community mental health watching chronic stress wear people down the same way, diagnosis or not. I know what it costs to keep showing up when your body is asking you to stop, and I know it's possible to build a life that fits the body and the capacity you actually have.
You're not lazy. You're out of spoons.
You planned a reasonable week. By Wednesday you were running on fumes, wondering what happened.
Here's what happened: you budgeted your week in hours, and your body spends it in energy. Those are different currencies, and one of them is finite.
The Spoon Budget Planner is a weekly system for spending the energy you actually have — not the energy you'd have if your body cooperated, if the flare held off, if you weren't already running on empty.
What's inside
The Weekly Spoon Budget — your fixed costs (the things that happen whether you have the spoons or not), your flexible spends, and your refills, all on one page
The Daily Energy Check-In — the gap between what you planned and what it actually took, so next week's estimate gets more honest
Journal pages — for the harder questions underneath the logistics, including what managing a body like yours has taught you that most people never learn
16 pages, print or digital, yours free
Who it's for
Women living with chronic illness or chronic stress, and women whose bodies have been running on stress so long it feels normal. Diagnosis optional. If you've ever apologized for canceling, pushed through a flare to keep the peace, or heard "but you look fine" one too many times, this was built for you.
Enter your email and it's yours.
Coaching or therapy?
Coaching here looks forward: pacing, capacity, boundaries, values, and building a life you don't have to recover from. It isn't therapy, and it isn't medical care. It doesn't diagnose or treat physical or mental health conditions, and it works alongside your doctors and care team, not in place of them. Coaching is open to women anywhere. If you live in Massachusetts or Maine and are looking for therapy, that happens separately through Blissful Balance www.eblissfulbalance.com
Note: To keep both relationships clear, current Blissful Balance therapy clients aren't eligible for coaching. Please visit eblissfulbalance.com to book your first session!
If you're in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Start Your Unburdening
A free 30-minute call to talk about what you're carrying and whether coaching is the right fit. It's a conversation, not a clinical session. If a flare or a hard day hits, just reschedule, no explanation needed. You'll leave knowing whether we're a match, and if we're not, I'll point you toward something that might be.

This is for you if you live with a chronic illness, or your body has been running on stress for so long it feels normal. You're still the dependable one, and your good days keep getting spent on everyone else.
What we do: We look at what your days actually cost you in spoons, not hours. We find where you've been pushing through flares, headaches, and exhaustion to keep the peace, and we build a way of working and living that fits your real capacity, not the one everyone expects you to have.

A Spoonie Experience: an interactive simulation that shows what living with limited energy actually costs.

The Framework
Five ideas, one through line: you’re not broken, you’re over-leveraged.
You can learn to set the weight back down.
The Burden — the invisible weight you keep adding on top of your actual problems: the guilt, the performing, the belief that your worth has to be re-earned every morning.
The Truth Tax — every time you suppress something true, you pay. The currency is energy, and the ledger compounds silently until it shows up as exhaustion, a flare-up, or a numbness you’ve learned to call “fine.”
Moral Injury — not the same as guilt. Guilt says “I did something wrong.” Moral injury says “I did something that violated my sense of what’s right, and I can’t find my way back to myself.” It doesn’t heal by working harder.
The Inner Critic & The Inner Advocate — you have two internal voices. The Critic is urgent and shaming, and gets louder the moment you try to take care of yourself. The Advocate isn’t a hype machine — it just tells you the truth: you’re a person of worth, now what do you actually need to move forward with integrity?
The Four Pillars — Inner Sanctuary, Vibrant Flow, Deep Connection, and Meaningful Contribution.
They’re not a checklist, they’re a cycle: Integrity guides Stewardship, Stewardship creates the capacity for Respect, Respect protects the time Service requires, and Service validates Integrity all over again.
